- Narrative -
I really like stories that can be totally far fetched and comedic but still maintain a relative message to the audience. I had an idea in my head for a while now of doing a small narrative of someone trying to do a webcam blog about a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, I know it sounds silly, but I feel if done right, it could be very emotional and just an all around good short story. My vision would be something that brings Shaun of the Dead and Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog together, but without leaving the view of the webcam/close up shots. It would be about a guy in his mid 20's whose just trying to reach out to anyone left in the world after being trapped in his apartment during the outbreak. He reminisces about how things were, how things went down and shows his attempts of going outside to scour the new outside world. It would show comedic elements of him just goofing off trying to entertain himself, while also presenting a deeper emotion of loss and grief over his loved one.
This is fun. The audience needs to suspend their disbelief because the computer still works but that can be believable if you handle the style the right way. Shaun of the Dead is great. All of your concepts and images are good. They needed titles and taglines too.
